Don't you just love weddings? I went to a wedding last weekend and watched a beautiful young bride and a handsome young man commit their lives to one another. A soloist sang Steven Curtis Chapman's song "I Will Be There." That's the point where I got teary. I remember making those promises to my handsome young groom more than 20 years ago and I feel that commitment more strongly today than I did then. It was beautiful to remember and it brought tears to my eyes. As Christ's Bride, the church is to be committed wholly to Him in this same way. We have an eternal Bridegroom who will always keep His promises to us. He will never leave us nor forsake us and even death will not part us from Him!
As you go through this week REJOICE in the love Jesus has for His Bride, the church, and for you personally. I challenge you to spend time with Him this week. Talk to Him about what's going on in your life and about your relationship with Him. Pray for opportunities to share this incredible love and commitment with others. He has promised to meet you there & He Is Faithful.
In His Love,
JoAnn
